Zephyr Farm is a working beef cattle and lavender farm, situated on the picturesque South Coast of NSW at Conjola, just north of Milton and Ulladulla. Set in rolling green hills, bordered by Conjola Creek and the McDonald State Forest, the 90 acres of Zephyr Farm provide a peaceful, idyllic haven. We currently have 2 acres of lavender (around 7000 bushes) growing both Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula x intermedia species, which look spectacular in flower just before harvest in December and January. All the lavender is hand harvested by sickle and the lavender oil is distilled on site using our own still. Over ninety of our products are hand made on the farm. We have an extensive list of handmade products available for you to browse online at our Products section. If you would like to purchase any of our products, please complete our Order Form.
During the Black Plague, 'four thieves vinegar' was used to ward
off infection. One of its main components was lavender water. The vinegar was used by
thieves, who doused themselves in it, raiding dead corpses for their valuables. |
